12-Step Workbook
A Clinical 12-Step Workbook for Recovery and Healing
The Hope Center 12-Step Workbook is a guided workbook developed by Pamela Wiggins, MA, LMHC, for adults in recovery. It takes the time-tested structure of the 12 steps and pairs it with clinical counseling tools, so you can work on both your recovery and the emotional healing underneath it. The workbook is used alongside individual counseling at our Pinellas Park office or by telehealth anywhere in Florida.
What makes this workbook different
- Secular and inclusive: written for people of any background or belief, whether or not you attend a 12-step fellowship
- Clinically grounded: each step includes evidence-based exercises drawn from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational work and relapse prevention
- Recovery plus healing: addresses the stress, trauma, grief and relationship patterns that often drive substance use and other compulsive behaviors
- Used with your counselor: you work through the steps between sessions and talk through what comes up in session
What you'll work on
- Honestly looking at the impact of use or behavior on your life

- Identifying triggers, thinking patterns and high-risk situations
- Taking inventory of strengths, values and areas for growth
- Repairing relationships and making amends where it's safe and appropriate
- Creating daily practices and a relapse prevention plan you can keep using
