I have a foundational belief that no one deserves to be alone on their healing journey. My name is Amie Dunn. I have spent the last 25 years dedicated to helping individuals and families struggling with mental health issues.

I obtained master’s degrees in Cognitive and Behavioral Disabilities as well as in Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation. My post-graduate work has allowed me to specialize in trauma, with certifications in Sexual Abuse, Play Therapy, and Art therapy. I hold specialties in Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Intervention Therapy, Child Adoptions, and Professional Life Coaching.

For the past twenty-five years, I have dedicated myself to working with military veterans, children, and adults with trauma backgrounds. I look forward to the opportunities of hearing your story. I approach each case without bias or judgment. It is my honor to offer services helping individuals seeking to find hope and healing and not be alone. I desire for my clients to have the life they want.

I began my career working with the Veterans Administration. I aided in transitioning soldiers returning home from war. This is a passion of mine from a very young age as I witnessed my hero, my father in his navy uniform coming home from war. I worked diligently to help each warrior and their families reunite and reconnect. I continue to desire to work with military veterans and their families as they face the unique challenges returning to civilian life.

As a behavioral specialist, I worked with a specialized team in public schools. I had the opportunity to write and implement a cutting-edge curriculum specific to students’ individual needs. I have experience providing training and support to teachers, parents, administration and the community in how to utilize specialized curriculums. In a private practice setting, I am equipped to help children with special needs in schools. In addition to helping equip parents support and advocate for their child in an educational setting.

I look forward to serving you at The Hope Center for Healing and Health.
